The MACH Initiative is an aerospace supplier development program which aims to foster collaboration and innovation within the supply chain and improve the performance and competitiveness of suppliers.

The MACH Excellence Framework is a common methodological approach that was developed to improve the mastery of key business processes at suppliers in order to achieve:

  • excellence in terms of LEADERSHIP
  • OPERATIONAL excellence
  • excellence in WORKFORCE PLANNING and DEVELOPMENT

Process

This structured development process, which extends over several cycles lasting 12 to 14 months, works as follows:

  • STEP 1 | An initial audit is first conducted to determine the company’s maturity level according to the 15 business processes of the MACH Excellence Framework, a gap assessment, and action plans to address them.
  • STEP 2 | A customized development and improvement program is then implemented to enhance the performance of the organization with, among other things, the support of a sponsor.
  • STEP 3 | Once the projects are completed, the next cycle may begin with a new audit that can assess the progress of the company in terms of maturity and the scale of the MACH performance labels.

The MACH Initiative is:

  • 5 active cohorts
  • Nearly 70 active SMEs
  • More than 30 sponsors
  • 900+ completed and ongoing projects
  • More than $11.4 M invested in projects
