Montréal, June 10, 2015 — Aéro Montréal, Québec's aerospace cluster, has named Hélène V. Gagnon, Vice President, Public Affairs and Global Communications at CAE, as Chair of its Board of Directors. Ms. Gagnon succeeds Maria Della Posta, Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing, at Pratt & Whitney Canada (P&WC), who held the post since 2013.

Ms. Gagnon has nearly 10 years of experience in aeronautics and works at CAE, a world leader in providing training in the fields of civil aviation, defence and security, and in healthcare. Each year, CAE trains more than 120,000 military and civilian crew members and has the largest fleet of flight simulators in the world.

"We are very proud and honoured to welcome Ms. Gagnon as Chair of our Board," says Suzanne M. Benoît, President of Aéro Montréal. "Helen has experience and an outstanding reputation in Québec's aerospace sector. I am sure that she will promote the dynamism of the cluster and its members here in Québec and around the world."

"This appointment to chair Aéro Montréal's Board of Directors is a true honour and a great vote of confidence on the part of stakeholders in our industry," notes Ms. Gagnon. "Aéro Montréal is entering its 10th year of existence and its impressive strength comes in large part from the dynamism and collaboration that exists among its members. I am very excited about  contributing to the development of Québec's aerospace sector and extremely optimistic about the cluster's potential."

Adds Ms. Benoît: "I also want to thank Maria Della Posta for her contribution to the aerospace cluster over the past two years. Her involvement has helped us develop many important projects for members of Aéro Montréal. We are very pleased to have her on the Board of Directors again this year."
