Montréal, December 2, 2013 - Aéro Montréal, Québec’s aerospace cluster, today awarded MACH performance labels to suppliers in the first cohort following the completion of their first cycle in the Initiative. The ceremony took place at the opening cocktail of the Aerospace Innovation Forum 2013 in the presence of Jean-Luc Trahan, President of the Commission des partenaires du marché du travail, and Sharon Trainor, Director, Supply Chain, at Bombardier Aerospace.

“The MACH Initiative has already demonstrated that it is responding effectively to the need to improve the competitiveness of suppliers,” says Suzanne Benoît, President of Aéro Montréal. “The tools and services it makes available as well as the support provided to suppliers by their sponsor has enabled all the SMEs in the first cohort to improve their performance relative to their first audit. This is achieved with the support of their respective mentors.

“Since the early days of the MACH Initiative, major Québec OEMs have seen a positive impact on the efficiency of their supply chain,” explains Sylvain Bédard, President of Aéro Montréal’s Supply Chain working group and CEO of Sonaca Montréal. “Suppliers involved in the MACH Framework of Excellence have achieved an increasing number of improvements, and simultaneously.
