AERO MONTREAL SIGNE UNE ENTENTE AVEC LA GRAPPE AÉROSPATIALE ANDALOUSE, HELICE

Le Bourget (France), June 16, 2015 – Aéro Montréal, Québec’s aerospace cluster, signed a framework agreement on collaboration with HÉLICE, the Andalusian aerospace cluster, during the Paris Air Show (Salon international de l’aéronautique et de l’espace Paris - Le Bourget). This agreement aims to initiate a special relationship between the two aerospace clusters, increase exchanges of information on innovation and optimization of the supply chain, and promote international monitoring

Aéro Montréal President Suzanne M. Benoît, welcomed the initiative, saying it will provide major opportunities for Québec's aerospace industry, particularly with respect to the potential development of the MACH Initiative in the Andalusian region.

"This agreement is being signed during a period of considerable international competition. It clearly demonstrates Québec's important role in the global aerospace industry and the reputation of its cluster," Ms. Benoît said. "This represents a very good opportunity for sector companies to network and forge alliances with internationally recognized Spanish companies."

This agreement involves the exchange of information on the needs and expectations of members of both organizations. It also provides for potential business development events to be held in Andalusia and Québec.

Aéro Montreal has signed three strategic collaboration agreements during the Paris Air Show. The others are an agreement with HEGAN, the Basque aerospace cluster, and OAC, Ontario's aerospace cluster.
