Normand Lalonde
Vice-President Business Development for Defense
Normand Lalonde has served more than 35 years in the Canadian Armed Forces as an infantry officer. During his service, he held numerous different positions at tactical, operational and strategic levels both nationally, internationally and within multinational organizations such as NATO and the United-Nations. As a lieutenant-colonel he served at the Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe (SHAPE) in Belgium, as executive assistant to the Director responsible for the policies related to the partnership programs for peace and Mediterranean dialogue. Thereafter, promoted to the rank of Colonel he was appointed Commander of Task Force HAMLET in Haiti and as the Chief of Staff of the MINUSTAH, a multinational military forces in Haiti. Back to Canada, he was posted to Strategic Joint Staff at National Defence Headquarters, and thereafter appointed Director of Force Land Development at the Canadian Army Headquarters as of the Chief of Staff of the Second Canadian Division.
He is a graduate from the Canadian Land Force Command and Staff College in Kingston, the Canadian Forces College in Toronto. He also completed an Executive Master’s in Business Administration at HEC Montreal and McGill University.
Normand Lalonde has been working as the Vice-President Business Development for Defense at Soucy International since November 2016.
