Colonel Denis Boucher
Director capabilities integration
Colonel Denis Boucher was born in Montréal, Québec. Raised in a military family, he enrolled in the Canadian Forces in 1988 and attended Royal Military College Saint-Jean (RMC) Saint-Jean, graduating in 1993 and was commissioned as a Signals Officer.
His field postings include Electronic Warfare experience with 2(EW) Squadron , as the Regimental Signal Officer of 1 Combat Engineer Regiment (1 CER), Officer Commanding 1 Squadron, Regimental Operations Officer and finally Commanding Officer of the Canadian Forces Joint Signal Regiment (CFJSR).
His staff appointments include time in Land Forces Western Area Headquarters, two separate postings within the Directorate of Land Requirements of the Canadian Army Staff and two years as the Director of Land Command Systems Program management, where he was responsible for the program management and maintenance of all Canadian Army C4ISR equipment.
Colonel Boucher has deployed domestically on Operations ASSISTANCE and RECUPERATION. Internationally, he deployed under UNPROFOR in the Former Republic of Yugoslavia, on Operation ARCHER in Kandahar, Afghanistan in 2005 and most recently, as the Director Afghan National Security Forces Operations of the International Security Assistance Forces Joint Command (IJC) as part of Op ATTENTION in Kabul, Afghanistan in 2013-2014.
He is a graduate of the Land Force Technical Staff Program, the Canadian Land Forces Command and Staff College, Kingston and the Joint Command and Staff Program of Canadian Forces College, Toronto. He is also a graduate of the Royal College of Defence Studies in the United Kingdom. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Space Operations from Royal Military College Saint-Jean (RMC) Saint-Jean, a Masters degree in Applied Military Science Management and a Masters in Defence Studies from the Royal Military College of Canada (RMC) Kingston.
Colonel Boucher is currently the Director of Capabilities Integration within Chief of Force Development.
