Aéro Montréal and IVADO Join Forces to Accelerate Aerospace Sector’s Transition to Artificial Intelligence Technologies
Montréal, April 16, 2019 – Aéro Montréal, Quebec’s aerospace cluster, and the Institute for Data Valorisation (IVADO), today signed a partnership agreement on artificial intelligence (AI) and its applications for the aerospace sector. This signing was held during the Global Supply Chain Summit taking place today at the Palais des congrès de Montréal.
“This agreement aims to facilitate and promote the emergence of artificial intelligence projects in aerospace in order to support SMEs in transitioning to Industry 4.0,” says Suzanne Benoît, President of Aéro Montréal. “Many companies in the sector are already working to integrate advanced technologies into their activities to accelerate their growth and maintain their competitiveness.”
“This partnership strengthens the Québec aerospace industry’s position in the world by laying the foundation for the development of innovative collaborative projects in the field,” says Gilles Savard, General Director of IVADO. “We are delighted to have Aéro Montréal join our data science ecosystem to meet the digital challenges in aerospace.”
Over the next two years, Aéro Montréal and IVADO intend to collaborate on the establishment of an Aerospace AI working committee and organize events to promote the exchange of best practices, as well as highlight the many innovations and opportunities offered by AI.
