The Aero Competitiveness Plan is available until March 2027. It varies in length according to each company’s specific needs, projects and the number of tools used.
Companies are encouraged to express their competitiveness needs in the Level 1 diagnostic. Based on that, Aéro Montréal will offer a personalized support plan, including the most appropriate tools. The company can then accept this plan or request adjustments.
There is a one-time fee of $3,000 for companies wishing to participate in the Aero Competitiveness Plan. It covers the company’s participation for the entire plan, or until March 2027. This includes the Level 1 diagnostic and support from the Aéro Montréal team.
Depending on the tools selected and the projects undertaken, the company will be required to contribute 25% to 50% of the project value.
Aéro Montréal will cover the full cost of the Level 2 diagnostic, if needed.
The prequalification questionnaire collects basic information about the company and verifies its eligibility for the program. It’s the first step for companies wishing to benefit from a personalized Aero Competitiveness Plan.
The Level 1 diagnostic enables the Aéro Montréal team to review the company’s needs and recommend the most appropriate tools to strengthen its competitiveness in key areas. This diagnostic is an online questionnaire.
The Level 2 diagnostic, carried out by external experts, assesses the company’s needs more in depth and identifies specific projects to be undertaken. Two types of Level 2 diagnostics are available, based on the tool selected: a MACH Excellence Framework audit for MACH and MACH FAB 4.0, and a cybersecurity gap analysis for Cybersecurity.
Aéro Montréal covers the full cost of the Level 2 diagnostic. If a company has completed a Level 2 diagnostic in the two years prior to starting the Aero Competitiveness Plan, a new diagnostic may not be necessary. This will be determined at the outset with the Aéro Montréal team.
